Where the score comes from
Six blocks, fixed weights, the same rules for every casino, commission or not. Each review shows the sums line by line.
Base of 5. Crypto cash-outs add 2. A wide choice of withdrawal methods adds up to 1.5, and so does a low withdrawal minimum. Our own timed cash-out can add 1 or take 1 away.
A Curaçao licence with its number on show gives 6, Anjouan gives 5. No visible number costs 1.5, a second licence adds 0.5. Years in business add up to 2.
Rollover up to x25 earns 9 (cash rewards with no rollover too). Every further x5 step costs a point, down to 4. A cap on bonus winnings costs 0.5. No offer we could confirm: 5.
Under 5,000 games earns 6, 15,000 or more earns 9.5. More than 100 studios adds 0.5.
Live chat around the clock earns 8, limited hours earn 6.

The law
Is online casino play legal in Nigeria?
Since 22 November 2024, gaming in Nigeria is a matter for each state. That day the Supreme Court ruled in A.G. Lagos State v. A.G. Federation that the National Assembly had no power to legislate on lotteries and games of chance, and voided the National Lottery Act 2005, the law behind the federal National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC). Licences now come from state bodies such as the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA), and each state sets its own rules (sources: BusinessDay, Vixio).
What this means for you:
- Eleven of the 12 casinos in our ranking are offshore brands licensed in Curaçao or Anjouan. They accept Nigerian players, but no Nigerian regulator handles complaints about them. If a withdrawal is refused, your only route is the casino itself and its foreign licensor.
- Waje is the one Nigerian company on the list. It names an NLRC licence; after the ruling, ask which state authority licenses it before you deposit large sums.
- Rules differ by state, so check what applies where you live. Nobody on this site is a lawyer, and this is not legal advice.

How to fund a casino account from Nigeria
Each casino supports different payment routes, so check yours before you sign up. From the cashiers we checked:
- OPay, PalmPay or bank transfer in naira: only Waje takes them for deposits; it pays out by bank transfer.
- Naira balance with an offshore brand: 1xSlots and BC.Game keep your balance in NGN. BC.Game also cashes out to a bank account.
- USDT for everything else: buy USDT with naira on an exchange you already use, then send it on the TRC-20 network to the deposit address the casino shows. Copy the address exactly and send a small amount first: a wrong network or address means the coins are lost.

Which casinos accept my country?
Every casino in our ranking accepts players from Nigeria. Waje is open only to players inside Nigeria; Riobet blocks Kenya; BitStarz, Cashy and Vodka Bet block Uganda. Are these casinos licensed in my country?
Mostly no. Waje says it holds a Nigerian NLRC licence; all the others are licensed abroad, mostly in Curaçao and some in Anjouan. They take players from Africa, but a local regulator, such as a Nigerian state gaming authority or the Gaming Commission of Ghana, cannot help you if there is a dispute. Check the rules where you live and keep deposits small until a casino has paid you at least once.

How does rollover change the value of a bonus?
Rollover is how many times you must bet the bonus before it can be withdrawn. At x40, a $50 bonus needs $2,000 of bets. A smaller bonus with low rollover, or cash rewards with none, is often worth more in practice.
What should I do before my first deposit?
Upload your ID soon after you register, because most casinos ask for it on the first withdrawal and that is where delays start. Then deposit a small amount and try to cash out a small win, so you see how the cashier behaves before you trust it with more.
